Finally - an Update!

Well, four months later, and we're FINALLY updating our blog! Although we don't have the grand adventures on a regular basis that we did in Okinawa, we figured we could at least share what's been happening with our family since we left.

We definitely had a whirlwind summer, which included: Tanner's baptism, two trips to Utah (one to St. George, one to Provo - BYU), a 75 mile biking/campout for Reed, Jessica's first year at Girl's Camp, painting and re-carpeting our entire house, and a nice long (two week) visit with the California cousins. Our UB and HHG finally arrived the end of August. So, with the beginning of school, trying to preserve a little bit of fruit and jam, adjusting to new callings, life, etc., we are finally settled and feeling a little sense of normalcy (even though I still really miss Okinawa :0) ).

Tanner's Baptism

It was a beautiful day, with lots of family present.

The "triplets' - reunited once again... Heavenly, even if only for a short while

Fun at the Lake House with Sloan's sister and her family . . .

The whole gang (minus one niece)

Beautiful Mt. Rainier in the background

I was hanging on tight, screaming my fool head off and trying hard not be thrown violently from the tube! :0)

The bald eagle that typically makes its nest in the tree right next to the lake house.

With the end of summer come the stunning colors of fall and the joys of an Indian Summer.

Some of the amazing colors we see daily on our drive up the hill to our house.

Since we can't bury each other in the sand, we figured leaves were the next best thing.

And in lieu of snow . . Leaf Angels

And, last but not least, Jessica and I got to fly down to Utah for General Conference in October. What a treat that was! We were able to get tickets to three of the sessions, visit with family and friends, go to BYU, and just enjoy being together. We also got to have lunch with Jasmine and Savannah Day while we were there - very fun! We so love to see our friends from Okinawa - So, if you ever come to the states, especially if you fly through Seattle, PLEASE come visit us, or at least call so we can say hi. We are only 20-30 min. from the airport, so it's a very easy trip.

The boy in the middle is cute and he has a gorgeous body. I just love seeing his good looking gorgeous little boy body without a shirt! https://4.bp.blogspot.com/_-0OlUTDcg94/SRGiDta6DhI/AAAAAAAAAR4/XzHBjB0Afew/s1600-h/Triplets.jpg
